Shonan World Design Award
Two NID Product Design students Ajit Kirkole and Dyutiman Moulik participated in international competition and won the prestigious Citizen and Mitsubishi Prizes worth Japanese Yen10,00000/ and 5,00000/ respectively (Shonan World Design Award co-sponsored by seven acclaimed Japanese industrial corporations). Ajit developed the concept for the design of ‘Ladies Sports Watch’. The design brief given by Citizen for this competition was to develop a fashionable and well designed ladies’ sports watch. |

General Motors Visits NID
High powered delegation visited NID on February 18, 2003 from the world's largest car making company General Motors to explore the possibilities of sourcing NID's capabilities for car design. The delegation headed by Mark Farmer, Director, Vehicle Architecture, GM, had Alan Rhodes, Manager Digital Design Centre, Mike Haddad, Manager, Surface Product Engineering and Shreyl Garret, Manager, design Studio as its members. |
