Training and creating world class designers requires academically and professionally qualified faculty dedicated to the larger cause of design education. NID boasts of one of the best faculty teams with both industry and institutional experience who are well known for spreading design education, design awareness and design reseach across the globe through various national and international fora. It is no surprise that many of these faculty members are former NID students. They remain actively involved in imparting design education besides participating in design intevention in the industry and crafts sector through projects, conferences, seminars and workshops.

The faculty members are actively supported by the team of skilled and semi-skilled technicians managing labs, studios, workshops and other such allied facilties at the institute.
