Animation film 'Swoosh' by Ranveer Singh Sambhi has won the Best Student Animation Category Award, International Animation Day 2005, ASIFA India, Mumbai.

Animation film 'Boond' by Kavita Singh has won the 1st prize in the Student Animation category award for excellence: IDPA (Indian Documentary Producers' Association), 2005.

Animation film 'Khintikiri Pinta' by Pushan Chakraborty has won the Best student animation, TASI at Mumbai, ANIFEST 2005.

First Prize at "Jeevika 2005" South Asian Livelihood Documentary Festival, New Delhi
"One Show Less", a documentary on the demise of single-screen cinema halls, directed by Nayantara Kotian, senior student of Film & Video at NID, has won the First Prize (Rs 45,000/-) at "Jeevika 2005", the annual South Asian Livelihood Documentary Festival, New Delhi.

KC Mahindra Award for excellence in Automotive Design
The theme of the award was “Trends in Ergonomics in Vehicle Design”. Design constraints were mainstream vehicle, four-wheeler, hard body, four to nine seater, suitable luggage space/capacity and propelled by conventional power plant.
