It deals with matters concerning professional placement of NID graduates. The prime objective of the Cell is to facilitate its graduating students and industry by providing a meeting ground where the prospective employer companies can identify suitable candidates for placement in their organization. Industry is invited for Pre Placement Talks during which they are required to give a presentation of their company profile, recruitment needs, compensation package and so on. This may be followed by interviews of interested students at a later stage. In addition recruitment needs of the industry is brought to the notice of students through the Placement Cell.

Professional experience prior to graduation such industrial training, classroom projects and diploma project also falls under the purview of the Placement Cell. Classroom projects seek to expose students to a wide variety of real life situations, and to test their skills on problem solving. Training with industry is for a period of 4 to 8 weeks where students work on ongoing problems under the supervision of a client. The final diploma project is of six-month duration and is a full-scale demonstration of independent client service. The Placement cell maintains contact with industry and brings to the notice of students industrial training, classroom project and diploma project opportunity.
