The project was about branding a resort in context of positioning and packaging a space. The Tarudhan Valley complex (SPA, golf course, golf club, golf homes, orchard homes) is a revolutionary concept in urban living that combines luxury living in the midst of nature with the amenities of a golf resort.
In today’s hectic and stressful urban lifestyle, there is a growing need for experiential tourism which creates learning and relaxation opportunities for guests seeking to experience something new.
This project’s intimate scale ensured a lot of scope, and entailed interacting with architects, interior designers, printers and binders. Graphics was not restricted only to paper, but lent enough room to explore a gamut of material and print collaterals.
The resort has a series of spaces that allow a visual journey through images, colours, and light dealt aesthetically along with architecture. I also had to design architectural graphics and communication material for the resort hotel and to put in place a system to position the same. It included translating a concept to graphic imagery (visual language) for maximum impact through different levels of communication and the interiors.
This project gave me a holistic understanding and experience of actual planning, designing, execution and implementation of system design. I also got to explore different materials keeping in mind requirement and printing limitations. The challenge lay in developing a visual language for the resort in a way that it had individual character and yet blended well with the Tarudhan Valley complex. |
