Vibhu Mittal is an alumnus of the National Institute of Design, where she completed her Bachelor of Design in Ceramic and Glass Design, Industrial Design. She is now working as an Associate Faculty at NID, Ahmedabad. She offers courses such as Analytical drawing, Geometric Construction, Elements of colour, Basic Materials, Environmental Perception, Space, form, and Structure, and Design Process, along with Orthography drawing in Ceramic and glass design. She has also offered courses as a visiting faculty at NID, Vijayawada and Flame University, Pune.
She began her professional journey as an associate designer for Outreach Department at NID, working for the flamework cluster under the USTTAD Project. Since then, she has developed a keen interest in craft research and documentation, working with craft communities, and product development. Before joining NID as an associate faculty, Vibhu worked as a product designer at Dileep Essentials, Pvt. Ltd. based in Jaipur. There she majorly worked with material combination, product development for brands like Ellementry, Fabindia, and Westside, and glaze research and development for H&M. Her work has been featured in ElleDecor, Architectural Digest, Vogue, and Maison&Objet.
Her areas of interest include cooking along with documenting traditional recipes, reading, and writing poems.
